Safety

A small community only works if it is a careful one. Here is what we do, and what we ask of you.

What we do

Identity verification

Subscribing members complete a government ID and selfie check. The badge on a profile means a real document was checked against a real face. Your feed shows verified members only unless you deliberately change that.

Every photo checked before it appears

Uploads are scanned automatically and nothing is visible until it passes. Anything ambiguous is held for a person to review. Suspected imagery of a minor suspends the whole account immediately.

Your location stays yours

We never ask your device where you are. You tell us a city, and distances are calculated between town centres and rounded — never closer than "less than 1 mile".

Your answer stays private

The health question you answer at signup is stored separately from your profile and is never shown to another member. It only decides who appears in whose results.

Block and report, everywhere

Both are available on every profile and every conversation. Blocking is immediate, permanent and mutual, and the person blocked is never told. Reporters are always anonymous.

Conversations are private

Message contents are kept out of our logs, analytics and error reports. The exception is a report of abuse, where the relevant messages are shown to our moderators — and every one of those views is itself recorded.

Meeting people safely

Verification makes it far likelier that someone is who they say they are. It cannot tell you whether they are kind. These habits are worth keeping whoever you are meeting.

If you are in immediate danger

Contact your local emergency services first. Then report the account here so we can act on it — reports about safety are looked at ahead of everything else.
