What is expected of members here, and what happens when someone falls short.

What the attorney needs to cover

This outline describes how the system actually behaves, so the drafting starts from facts rather than a template.

• Photo standards: what is allowed, what is automatically rejected, and that every upload is scanned before it becomes visible.
• That suspected imagery of a minor freezes the entire account immediately, pending human review — not just the individual photo.
• MANDATORY REPORTING PROCEDURE — needs a named responsible person and a written process. Federal law (18 U.S.C. 2258A) requires reporting apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and preserving it rather than deleting it. This carries criminal exposure and cannot be left to improvisation.
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, solicitation and commercial spam: prohibited, with the escalation ladder from warning to permanent ban.
• That reports are anonymous to the reported member, and that filing a report raises review priority rather than immediately removing content.
• That repeatedly filing reports that are dismissed reduces the weight given to that member’s future reports, and that coordinated false reporting is itself a violation.
• Off-platform conduct: the circumstances, if any, in which it affects membership.
• Guidance on keeping conversations respectful given the shared value this community is built around — including that members are not required to discuss it, and that pressure to do so is not acceptable.
• The appeals process for a member who believes a freeze, suspension or ban was wrong, and the expected response time.
